John Scott (Your MC for the night)
John Scott first stepped on stage as a stand up in May 1999 at the Stand comedy club. The promoters of the club were so impressed with his debut they asked him to participate in their Edinburgh festival Fringe show Stand up Scotland and two months later he found himself participating in the first of his eight Edinburgh runs. More recently John was chosen from over 200 applicants to participate in the BBC’s Jesting About project, a showcase for comedy writers and performers from the North East. He worked on two separate projects with the BBC, the first to develop a radio sketch show and the second to develop a TV panel show. From here John went on to develop the live political satire panel show Sod the Tories (And Have a Nice Week) which he performs with a coalition of fellow comics monthly.
Raymond Mearns
Larger than life and twice as much fun, Raymond Mearns is one of the most experienced performers in the UK and beyond. Having earned his spurs hosting comedy nights at some of the most improbable venues in the country, Raymond now regularly hosts nights at some of the biggest Comedy Clubs in the UK. Outside of his hosting duties, his natural rapport with an audience and unerring ability to work a gag have made him one of the most popular solo acts. Following a succession of sell out one-man shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Raymond has made a smooth transition onto the airwaves as a regular contributor to the ‘Fred MacAulay Show’ (BBC Radio).
Noel James
Welsh comedian Noel James is described as being bizarre, surreal, but most importantly extremely original, funny and dam right ridiculous. His act contains a lot of odd jokes with intelligent word play. His best one liners will leave your belly laughing. On TV Noel has appeared on Stand-Up Show, and alongside Frank Skinner on Packing Them In. Most recently James reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2018 with a very funny guitar routine, narrowly missing out in a place in the final.
